Alexis Pooley won first place in Event Magazine’s 2020 Non-Fiction Contest, third place in Grain Magazine’s 2020 Short Fiction Contest, and was longlisted in PRISM international’s 2020 Creative Non-Fiction Contest. She regularly contributes to McSweeney’s and has recent work in The Capilano Review’s Bad Feelings issue. Alexis has an MFA from UBC and a BSc from Dalhousie University. She is finishing her first novel, about a woman with a bunch of problems. She currently lives in London, Ontario with her dog, Andrew,

who survived his cancer and is a saint.
